Blunk Knob 04/13/2010
Today I ventured out once again with Mr. Wood. This time we decided to go to the sunny side of the river - INDIANA! - http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=3636583weeblylink_new_window That's right, beautiful state where I grew up! My parents built a house and moved out into the country and I had originally intended to help my father with some yard work but when old Zach Attack said he was down for the ride I postponed being the helpful son in lieu of some good riding. Once we got our coffee and crossed the 2nd St bridge we made our way through a pretty random assortment of junk yards and parks that dot the Indiana side of the river. We skipped the Falls of the Ohio exhibit to come back another time. There was a lot of slowing down and/or stopping to take things in. We stopped at a pretty little creek and then Budd came along. After we made it to the top of Blunk Knob (aka 250 feet of elevation gain in like .5 miles) we made a quick pit stop at my parent's house which I didn't photograph at all for some reason and then we hit the Ohio Scenic Byway. After exploring top secret environmental facilities we headed back the way we came and made it right back to where we started. The longest 44 miles I'v ever ridden. Yoinks.
